Adsense or Add Cents?
I am sure that this subject has been written about more than a few times, but certain questions have been addressed to me and I will, at the risk of repeating others, try to answer them to the best of my ability. I believe I had these very questions, and still have some, but had to research answers, so I will try to sum them up.
I do not really write here fore the money (a very good thing too), but for the exposure and for the practise, and to let others know things I feel are of importance.
First, let me say that I do not think feed rss has much if anything to do with making money. I think it is a way of linking or rather following certain subjects.
I have been writing here for a half a year or so, and to date am not making more than a few dollars a month. I have been going back and improving and looking for reasons why some hubs do better than others, and why I have certain hubs that have only hubpages traffic, which does not make money, and others have a lot of outside traffic.
I believe this is due to the fact that some of my hubs have better keywords, or tags than others, which makes them easier to find under the google search engine. I have been spending a few hours this evening, researching where my hubs are listed, if at all, in the directory. Out of my 75 or so hubs, about 10 or 15 of them were to be found on the first and second pages of the google search when keywords were clicked in.
This is, and I cannot stress it more, I believe one of the most important ways to get your hubs out there and looked at by the general public. If you have an article on let's say dogs and kids, and the title is "Dogs, kids and their friendships" what keywords would you think you might tag with to get it found?
The truth is this. If you make your keywords or tags a part of your title, it will be listed on the first or second pages of the directory very quickly. So if you write on your tags, individual words, like the obvious, dogs, kids, friendship, you stand a fraction of the chance as if you put one tag that says, dogs, kids, and their friendships, all on one tag. I do both. The more you can do to get you story found, the better.
As for making a lot of money doing this, I think the key to this is not hundreds of clicks, but thousands. I have 75 stories. I think that if I had more like 750 stories, even with the few clicks I get on each they would add up and amount to something.
So the key to making money here I believe is this.....make your tags so they find the story. Make your tags part or all of your titles. And keep putting up stories, and articles, and anything of interest that will draw in people and their clicks. The more stories, the more clicks. The easier you can find your stories, the more clicks. So get prolific, and keep writing....and good luck

Good ideas on this hub. I keep making little checks and tweaks to my articles, too, ddsurfsca, and figure I just need to keep writing and publishing here.
Good hub, and that just about says it. I think people's expectations are too high to begin with. I know mine were.

I'm still pounding away too DD. Trying to get at least one hub published daily. I now have 50, but not getting anywhere so far. I've tried your suggestions. In 5-6 weeks adsense has registered a measly $2.25. But I'm not giving up. My following is growing (15 now) and they are clamoring for more of my work. So I'm going to keep on typing. Thanks for the tips.
